Patsy Mae Smith

Patsy Mae Smith, 70, of Batesburg, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, August 17, 2019 at home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 19 at Mt. Ebal Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery with Rev. Bill Paulling officiating.
Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service at the church.

Patsy will be taken to her place of eternal rest by her grandsons and honor her life and memory as pallbearers: Jeffery Wise, Ryan Smith, Alex Ryan, Konner Smith , Braylen Reeves/Smith and Dylan Sills.

Patsy was born to Wilbur and Lettie Mae Shealy on March 5, 1949 in Richland County. Patsy was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She had a generous heart, loving spirit and fierce loyalty to family. Patsy was a spiritual woman, loving member of her church and community who will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all that knew her. She was a honorary member of Sandy Ridge Fire Department.

Patsy is survived by her husband, Leaver M. Smith; her children, Melissa Craps, Pat Smith West and Mark J. Smith; daughter-in-law, Kelli M. Smith; grandchildren, Jeffrey Wise, Santana Wise, Emmi Turner, Tamla Craps, Ashley Craps, Ryan Smith, Alex Ryan, Konner Smith, Katelyn Wise and Braylen Reeves/Smith; and several great grandchildren. She is survived by her sisters, Virginia Beasley and Ellen Wheeler and brothers, Frankie Shealy and Marvin Shealy. Patsy was predeceased by her sister Lavonia Trotter.
