Priscilla Elaine Fallaw Gantt, 81, of Leesville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 7, 2024 surrounded by family. She was born in Aiken, a daughter of the late Earl and Ruth Jones Fallaw. Elaine graduated from B-L High School after returning to night school in her late 40s to obtain her diploma. She was employed by Union Switch and Signal for 45 years.
Elaine was a devoted wife, mother and friend, known for her kindness and willingness to help others. She enjoyed playing games, eating out and trips to the beach and mountains with family and friends. Elaine also had a love for flowers and gardening. She always had a pecan pie ready to welcome new neighbors. She enjoyed spoiling the neighborhood children.
Elaine is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Mary Gantt of Leesville; brother, Bo Fallaw of Batesburg; sisters-in-law, Joyce Lowe (Mike) of Warrenville, Gloria Smith (Robert) of Leesville; brother-in-law, Cecile Slade of Burnettown; along with numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by special friends, Pat Lane, Phyllis Mims, Odell Miller and Bertha Walker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Harold Gantt; son, David Gantt; brother, Butch Fallaw and sister, Bonnie Bell Slade.
The funeral service for Elaine will be held at 2 o'clock on Wednesday, September 11th at Providence Baptist Church with burial immediately following in the church cemetery. The Rev. Larry Pitts will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Honorary pallbearers will be her Friday Night group and gamers.
