Raymond Bodie

Jacob Raymond Bodie, 80, of Monetta, passed away Monday, August 23, 2021 . Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 26th at Amick Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in the church cemetery. The Rev. Donald Bodie and Rev. Larry Smith will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Active pallbearers will be: Samuel Bodie, Steven Bodie, Anthony Bodie, Randy Cockrell, Reggie Ward, and Andrew Seeley.

A member of Amick Grove Pentecostal Holiness Church, Mr. Bodie taught Sunday school for over 30 years and had perfect attendance for more than 35 years. He was married to the late Sandra Faye Clamp Bodie. Mr. Bodie retired from Owens Corning with over 35 years of service. He loved gardening, deer hunting and cutting his own wood with a chainsaw. He was a beloved father and grandfather who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his sons and daughters-in-law, Stanley Bodie (Sandi), Donald Bodie (Sonya); grandchildren, Samuel and Steven Bodie. He is also survived by a sister, Carolyn Cockrell; brothers, William "Dub" Bodie and Charles Wayne Bodie; as well as nieces and nephews.
