Renona Berkley Chavis

Renona Berkley Chavis, 79, passed away Friday, May 23, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 27, at Nazareth Pentecostal Holiness Church with interment in Lexington Memorial Gardens with Rev. Julian Boles officiating. Active pallbearers will be Dell Anderson, Dylan Jones, Gary Shull, Rodney Livingston, Chris Leaphart and Aaron Shealy. Mrs. Chavis was born in West Columbia, daughter of the late Auston Pickens Shull and Emmi Baker Shull. She was married to the late Arrion James Chavis, Sr. Mrs. Chavis was a member of Nazareth Pentecostal Holiness Church. She loved gardening, her family and her church. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Arrion James (Tara) Chavis, Jr; daughters, Beverly Chavis (Robert) Brown; Bronda Chavis (Mike)Perry; Lisa Chavis (Kelvin) Matthews; brothers, Clinton; Albert (Beckey); and Langley (Ozelia) Shull; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brother, Carlise Shull; and sisters, Ulamae Shumpert; Berline Haywood and Flonice Hallman. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Monday, May 26, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.
