Rhett A Padgett

Rhett A Padgett, 51, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 15, at Convent Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery with Pastor Travis Crumpton officiating. Visitation will be held one our prior to the service at the church. Active pallbearers will be Jami Gantt, Jeffrey Ashton Padgett, Jr, Ricky Hallman, Russ Allen, Dusty Rish, Ty Sightler, and Layden Martin.

Mr. Padgett was born in Columbia, SC, son of Hazel Brown Padgett and the late Cleve Ashton “C.A.” Padgett, Jr. He was a member of Convent Baptist Church. He was a simple down to Earth man. Outdoorsy, humble and kind. Wise and sweet, with a belly full of laughs. Love you forever.

Surviving are his mother, Hazel Padgett; daughter, Lakin Padgett; brother and sister-in-law, Jeffrey (Debbie) Padgett; siblings, Jeffrey Padgett and family; Cynthia Gantt and family; Rita Rish and family; and grandson, Layden Martin. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kesli Payton Padgett.
