Richard Henry Schumpert

Richard Henry Schumpert, 75, of Leesville, passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Friday, January 23, 2015 at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel, with interment in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Mickey and Reverend Charles Stalvey. Active pallbearers will be Marty Schumpert, Kim Schumpert, David Shealy, Lynwood Fox, Tommy Pownall, Todd Bedenbaugh, Ronnie Price and Larry Cockrell. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. John Black. Mr. Schumpert was born in Batesburg, SC, son of the late Daniel Kimball and Emma Mae Chapman Schumpert. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Shealy Schumpert; son, Danny Schumpert; grandchildren, Masson Schumpert of Leesville; and Conner Schumpert of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by son, Michael Schumpert; sisters, Carolyn Schumpert Waters; Mary Walker and brother, Charles Schumpert. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at his home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors.
