Rosa Carolyn Asbill, 83, of Batesburg, passed away Friday, May 16, 2014. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, May 19, at Ridge Spring Cemetery conducted by Rev. Hank Fanning. Visitation will be held at her residence from 4:00 to 6:00 PM Sunday, May 18, 2014. Mrs. Asbill was born in Aiken County daughter of the late James Andrew and Julia Scott Bodie. She was a member of West Creek Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her husband, Daniel B. Asbill; son, Joe Asbill; daughters, Julia Anne Asbill Speaker; Susan Annette Asbill; sister, Virginia Hancock; brother, Billy Bodie; two grandchildren: Nicholas Crawford and Tonya Asbill. She was predeceased by a son, Alfred Asbill; sisters, Edith Satcher and Jeannette Bodie; brothers, James Andrew Bodie, Jr., Geddings Bodie, Silas Nathan Bodie, Byron Bodie, William Norris Bodie, David Felix Bodie, and Ray Daniel Bodie. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to West Creek Baptist Church, 248 Church Road, Batesburg, SC 29006.
