Rose Carol Craps

Rose Carol Gunter Craps, 89, of Batesburg, passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Mrs. Craps was born in Gilbert, SC, the daughter of the late J.D. and Isabell Smith Gunter. She enjoyed reading and loved to shop with her best friend, Lynette Mack and was known to take a nap when she got home. Mrs. Craps loved spending time with her family and church family as well as planting flowers and gardening. She was a member of Samaria Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Adult Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Craps is survived by her children, Terry Pierce, Keith Pierce (Annette), Danny Pierce (Jana), and Kevin Craps (Christy). She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Michael Pierce (Stacey), Melissa Sease (Larry), Collin Pierce, Nathan Craps, James Pierce, Michaela Pierce, Mike Pierce (Joanna Buxkemper), and Ivana Pierce; four great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren and a sister, Loulla Vaughn.

The funeral service for Mrs. Craps will be held at 3 o'clock on Friday, November 22nd at Samaria Baptist Church with Rev. John Yorio officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning from 2 until 3 o'clock in the church fellowship hall. Serving as active pallbearers will be: Michael Pierce, Aaron Pierce, Clinton Sease, Aidan McGee, Nathan Craps, Collin Pierce and Jeremy Dorman. Honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of the church.
