Roy W. "Snooter" Senterfeit

Roy W. "Snooter" Senterfeit, 65, of Batesburg, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Samaria Baptist Church with interment in the church cemetery with military honors with Reverend Dennis Metts officiating. Active pallbearers are Chris Connelly, Brian Senterfeit, Michael Rushton, Trent Rushton, Daniel Kneece, Alex Baker and Mike Cooper. Mr. Senterfeit was born in Columbia, SC son of the late Henry Samuel and Edna Kelly Senterfeit. He retired from Avondale Mills in Graniteville, SC. He was an Army Veteran. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed helping other people. He was a loving husband, brother, uncle and friend. "Snooter" will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Beck Senterfeit; brothers, Samuel (Brenda) Senterfeit; Richard (Jean) Senterfeit; sister, Earlene Rushton of Salley; nieces and nephews; and special great nieces and nephews, Lauren & Rachel Connelly; Brenson & Annabelle Baker, and Kaia Johnson. He was predeceased by his brother, Nelson Senterfeit; and sister, Vernell Fox. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday, March 7, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home. The family would like to especially thank Augusta VA Hospital, Dr. Kerry Diver MD and staff at Aiken VA Hospital, DaVita Dialysis Center on Wylds Rd. in Augusta, GA, and Dr. Laura Malloy and team at G.R.U. in Augusta, GA for all their care and support. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to Samaria Baptist Church or the Vietnam Veterans Administration.
