Ruth "Sam" Bledsoe

Ruth "Sam" Smith Bledsoe, 90, passed away Tuesday, March 23, 2021. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, March 27th, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Ridge Crest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Mrs. Bledsoe was born in Ward, SC, a daughter of the late Carl McConnell and Dollie Kirkland Smith. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Batesburg. Mrs. Bledsoe was an Eastern Star Member where she received her 50th year certificate.

Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Frank Bledsoe; daughter, Karen Dickert of Lexington; and granddaughter, Jessi Dickert of Columbia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 5 siblings.
