Sam Senterfeit

Sam Senterfeit, 77, of Batesburg, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. Mr. Senterfeit was born in Lexington, SC, a son of the late Henry Samuel and Edna Louise Kelly Senterfeit. After serving in the U.S. Army, Mr. Senterfeit worked as a lineman for Mid-Carolina Electric Cooperative for over 38 years. Aside from being an outdoorsman, he was a family man, adoring his granddaughters.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Brenda Senterfeit; daughter, Wendy Connelly (Chris); son, Brian Senterfeit; and granddaughters, Lauren and Rachel Connelly. Also surviving are his sister, Earlene Rushton, and brother, Richard Senterfeit (Jean). In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Vernell Fox, and brothers, Ned and Roy "Snooter" Senterfeit.

The funeral service for Mr. Senterfeit will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 26th, at Samaria Baptist Church, with burial immediately following in the church cemetery. Pastor Steven Little will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, from 10 until 11 A.M., in the church sanctuary. Active pallbearers will be: Brian Senterfeit, Chris Connelly, Olin Warren, Chris Price, Michael Rushton, and Gary Botts.
