Sara Adams Shealy

Sara Adams Shealy, 83, of Leesville, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. Born in Batesburg, SC, she was a daughter of the late Eugene Edgar and Emma Lessie Matthews Adams. Mrs. Shealy was the widow of the late Bobby David Shealy. She was a devoted member of Mt. Hebron Lutheran Church. Mrs. Shealy enjoyed word searches, butterflies, and classic country music.

She is survived by her son, Adam Shealy; daughters and son-in-law, Felicia Schlau (Brian) and Leslian Warren; and daughter-in-law, JoAnn Shealy; grandchildren, Kelly, Justin (Christalyn) and Austin Schlau, Rebecca Mery (Doug), Kevin Shealy (Carlin), Jason Shealy (Amber), Garianne (Jeremy), and Matthew Warren; along with multiple great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Also surviving are her siblings, Marvin Adams (Ann) and Dorothy Leaphart, as well as her sister-in-law, Phyllis Adams. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Legrand Adams, and joined in death by her son, Tim Shealy.

The funeral service for Mrs. Shealy will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, November 3rd, at Mt. Hebron Lutheran Church, 2347 Summerland Hwy, Leesville, SC with burial following in the church cemetery. Rev. Christopher Shealy will officiate. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 PM at the church.
