Suad Bukvic

Suad Bukvic, 65, of Leesville, passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019. A visitation to celebrate his life will be held on Saturday, September 28, from 4:00 – 6:00 P.M. at Milton Shealy Funeral Home.

Suad was a best friend, amazing husband and a one of a kind father. He is survived by his wife, Jelena Bukvic; two sons, Haris Bukvic and wife, Dzenita and their two kids, Kerim and Asija Bukvic, and Jasko Bukvic; daughter, Jasna Bhayani and her daughter, Sophia Bhayani; and sisters, Suada Alispahic, Mirsada Omerbegovic, Eldina Bukvic.

Suad began his lifetime career in the automotive industry, moving to the United States 22 years ago, where he continued his love for cars. After years of unfortunate health issues, he had to stop working but was able to shadow his son. Suad was a refugee survivor and met his wife on March 9th, 1979. He wife was his business partner, best friend and amazing mother to their two children. They had an unbreakable love and bond for each other, and were role models for what love should really be like.

Suad enjoyed spending time his family and friends. He spent his free time on side projects he enjoyed very much doing with his son. Suad loved to help anyone and he was always there for his friends and relatives.

He had a tremendous love for great food, his happiest days were preparing meat and getting the smoker ready with his son, Yasko. They both enjoyed same things and were able to grow together and make each other’s days better.

Suad was a great grandfather. He loved children and always had tricks to make them smile. Suad was a positive, motivated happy man who never knew how to give up and always found a positive outcome in life.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Mr. Allen Dancy and the staff of Milton Shealy Funeral Home for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.
