Ted Brown Martin

Ted Brown Martin, 94, of Saluda, passed away Friday, March 1, 2024. Mr. Martin was born in Newberry, SC, a son of the late Julian Caldwell "Coot" and Georgia Coleman Martin. He attended Emmanuel Church and was a member of the Saluda Masonic Lodge. Mr. Martin loved fishing, hunting and golfing.

Surviving are his wife of 73 years, Miriam Bouknight Martin; children, Marsha Riley, Billy Martin and Kyle Martin (Tammy); grandchildren, Ashley Bouknight (Ty), Brantley Buzhardt (Scott); Chad Martin (Shannon), Chase Martin (Cassie), Colby Strickland (Tommy), Cooper Martin (fiance, Kelsie Wilkins; 12 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and pet companion, Toot. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Bobbie Martin; and siblings, Carl Martin and Jerry Charles.

The memorial service for Mr. Martin will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, March 3rd at Emmanuel Church, 793 Columbia Hwy, Saluda, SC 2913, with Rev. Burton Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the sanctuary.
