Tess Ashley Lawson, 30, of Monetta, departed to her place of joy and eternal rest in the presence of her Lord, on Thursday, April 4, 2024 by the angels of glory. She was born on June 3, 1993 in Smithtown, New York, the daughter of Leroy Joyner and Sheila Davis Joyner.
On January, 27, 2022, Tess and Sean Ryan Lawson were united in holy matrimony. To this union four children were born. Tess was baptized at Trinity Lutheran Church in Wyandanch Long Island, NY at the age of 3 months. She served faithfully in the youth choir, as an Acolyte, Sunday School helper and many activities into her adulthood. After attending the Bay Shore School District, Tess moved to Atlanta, Georgia to attend Brown Mackie College in Atlanta, where she graduated and received her Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
After college, Tess worked as a lab assistant in Georgia and quickly moved to her field of study as a medical technician at the First Chiropractic Clinic, Stone Mountain, GA for many years. When she relocated to South Carolina, she worked as an EMT and other occupations.
By character, Tess was a hard worker, an excellent interior decorator, designer, had a great sense of humor, and was a caring mother. She was immensely proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone she touched.
Tess leaves behind cherished and beautiful memories with her husband, Sean Ryan Lawson; daughters, Tommie Leah Castagnino and Lakota Tiffany Lawson; two sons, Nicco Kylo and Luxe Jay Lawson all of the home; father, Leroy Joyner of St. Laurelton, NY; and mother, Sheila Davis Joyner. Also surviving are her three brothers, Kyle Jarvis Joyner of Bay Shore, NY, Randy Leigh Joyner of El Paso, TX, and James "JJ" Michael Leroy Joyner of Norfolk, VA; along with a host of relatives and friends.
A private funeral ceremony will be held at Milton Shealy Funeral Home to honor Tess.
