Thomas Jackson Miller

Thomas Jackson Miller, 79, of Batesburg, passed away Monday, June 2, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, June 5, at Sardis Baptist Church with interment in Cleve Matthews Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Campbell officiating. Active pallbearers will be Perry Miller, Justin Miller, Jacob Black, Cory Bedenbaugh, Rickey McCary, and Jacob McCary. Honorary pallbearers will be Pete Sample, Roddie Bedenbaugh, Levan Padgett, Tony Cockrell, Alton Cockrell, Eddie Goff, Danny Matthews, Mayer Sample, Boddie Rineheart, Davis R. Kirkland and Joe Corley. Mr. Miller was born in Saluda, SC, son of the late Gary Miller and Ruth Matthews Miller. He served 10 years in the Army National Guard. Mr. Miller was a member of Sardis Baptist Church and enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves baseball games. Surviving are his devoted wife, Mary Fallaw Miller; and their family, Judy and Roddie Bedenbaugh; Stephanie and Rickey McCary; Vickie and Perry Miller; grandchildren, Cory (Zena) Bedenbaugh; Casey (Jacob Black) Bedenbaugh; Justin (Darbi Wright) Miller; Jacob McCary; Jonah McCary; great grandchildren, Madison and Maci Bedenbaugh; sister-in-law, Martha Stoudemire; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Shirley and Dual Oswald; and sister-in-law, Jean Fallaw. The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 4, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, other times at his home.
