Tommy Rodgers, 62, of Batesburg, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2022. A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, May 2nd, at Mt. Ebal Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Paulling officiating. The family will receive friends from 12 until 2 P.M. Saturday, April 30th, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home and will be at the home of his father, Jimmy Rodgers.
Mr. Rodgers was born in Prosperity, SC, a son of Jimmy Rodgers and the late Annette Black Rodgers. He was the owner and operator of Reliable Residential Services for many years where he developed a close bound with his customers throughout South Carolina. He treated everyone like family. Mr. Rodgers was a member of Mt. Ebal Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed going hunting and fishing. Mr. Rodgers loved spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Cathy Hall Rodgers; daughters, Christy Rodgers Kennedy (Tom Pool), Lacey Kneece (Clay); grandchildren, Emily Shirley (Blake), Mikalea Kennedy, Jr Kneece, Jay Williams (Brianna); great grandchild, Brynlee Williams, and two soon to be great grandchildren. Also surviving are his siblings, Ted Rodgers, Terry (Tilda) Rodgers, Frank (Sheryl) Rodgers; and lifelong best friend, Mark Bedenbaugh. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his nephew, Christopher Rodgers.
