Tristan Dartanyan Grigsby

November 28, 2004 — February 22, 2025

Saluda

Tristan Dartanyan Grigsby, 20, passed away on February 22, 2025. Born in West Columbia, SC, he was the son of Brandy Dale Johnston and the late Darwin Riley Grigsby. He was a 2022 highly respected honors graduate of Saluda High School and member of the National Honor Society. Upon graduation Tristan attended Piedmont Technical College. He had a natural talent for computers, quickly mastering technology from an early age. His passion for music and gaming brought him so much joy, and he had big dreams—planning to serve his country by enlisting in the Navy to become a Navy aviator and eventually a pharmacist. Alongside his many talents, Tristan also modeled for Aricci jewelry with Van Xander and enjoyed cooking.

He is survived by his mother, Brandy Dale Johnston (Richard Jolley); brother, Triston Patrick Jolley (Gracie Brown); and grandparents, Kathy "Nanu" Medina, Janet Laing (Mark), and Patsy Jolley (Daryl Vinson); as well as his aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Julian "Squish" Grigsby, Eunice Wheeler, Wade Johnston, and Rick Jolley; and his uncle, Gregory Julian Grigsby.

The funeral service to honor Tristan’s life will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, March 3rd, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, with Rev. Eddie Bledsoe and Rev. Burton Campbell officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
