Violet Iris Taylor Norris, 65, of Saluda, passed away Friday, July 11, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 16, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Saluda Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Danny Arnold, Sr. officiating. Active pallbearers are Tony Gillian, Christopher Roccia, Patrick Edwards, Jeremy Gillian, Shauna Gillian, John Roccia, and Danny Arnold, Jr. Mrs. Norris was born in Mill Creek, WV daughter of the late Romey and Edna Smith Taylor. She was married to the late Walter Norris. She was a homemaker. Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Malinda (Danny, Jr.) Arnold; Beth (Tony) Gillian; sons, Louis Lee (fianc̩e, Angela Herrick) Roccia; and John Eric Roccia; brothers, Romey Taylor; Larry Taylor; sisters and brothers-in-law, Cathy (Russ) Walton; Annie (Lyndall) Gumm; Wilma (Mike) Weiss; Janet Elder; twenty-one grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband; son, Shawn Michael Roccia; brother, Don Taylor; sister, Mary Hauserman; and a very special person in her life Danny Tilson. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 PM Tuesday, July 15, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home, and visitation also from 9:00-11:00 AM prior to the service on Wednesday, at the funeral home.
