Walter Ronnie Hoffman

Walter Ronnie Hoffman, 70, of Hartsville, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.  Born on November 8, 1953, he was a son of the late Edith Elizabeth Hoffman.  For many years, Ronnie was homebound after an automobile accident at a young age.  During this time, Ronnie was blessed to be cared for by his mother until her passing in 2001, and then his younger brother, Benny and his wife, Merna.  Most recently Ronnie was also blessed to have others who loved and cared for him including the late Casey Byrd.  Ronnie loved his family and despite what life had given him, he was a happy person.   

Surviving are his siblings, Clyde Watford, Harold Watford (Rachel), Dianne Easterling, Deena Wilks, Sherry Hoffman Gratzer (Steve), Burke Hoffman (Wendy), and Janice Jackson; sister-in-law, Merna Hoffman; and a special family member, Brycen.  He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.  In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by an infant; a brother, Benny Hoffman Sr.; as well as his maternal grandmother, Inez Kelly Dixon.

The graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, May 13, 2024 at Cedar Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Burke Hoffman officiating.  The family will greet friends immediately following. Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home of Chesterfield, SC is assisting the family.
