William Mark Bedenbaugh

March 23, 1967 — July 7, 2023

William Mark Bedenbaugh, 56, passed away Friday, July 7, 2023. He was born in Columbia, SC, a son of the late William Roston "Brother" and Mildred Alice Clamp Bedenbaugh. Mark was a man of many talents and passions. He was a loving father and husband, an avid outdoorsman, and a former business owner. He had a heart of gold and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. His infectious smile and outgoing personality made him a favorite among his family and friends. Mark loved spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle and being on Lake Murray. He was a member of Steadman Baptist Church and was employed by Millcreek Logging as a logger.


Surviving are his sons, Colton Mark Bedenbaugh (Carson), William Rivers Bedenbaugh (Katie), Cody James Whittle (Whitney); grandchildren, Gunter, Holden and Maizie, Scottie and Drix; Lily, Sara, Caden, and Peytann. Also surviving are his siblings, Ronda Bedenbaugh Hartley (Troy) and Terry Bedenbuagh; and many nieces and nephews; along with his former wife and best friend, Paula Gunter Kneece.


The funeral service for Mark will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, July 25th at Steadman Baptist Church with burial immediately following in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home of his son, Colton. Active pallbearers will be: Teddy Steen, Todd Tarbox, Terry Leaphart, Kevin Steele, Rocky Gunter and John Covington. Honorary pallbearers will be: Cody Gunter, Matt Rush, Roston Temples, Mason Gunter, Billy Hallman and Brandon Umbarger.


In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Steadman Baptist Church, 1011 North Edisto Road, Leesville, SC 29070 or a charity of one's choice.
