Winifred Forrest Rutland

Graveside service for Winifred Forrest Rutland, 94, will be held at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, April 7, 2016 at Ridge Spring Cemetery with Rev. John Chambers officiating. The family will greet friends after the service at the graveside. Pallbearers will be Guy Rutland, Mark Rutland, Billy Rutland, Andy Hall, Jimmy Thrailkill, and David Sawyer.

Mrs. Rutland passed away Monday, April 4, 2016. Born in Saluda County, she was the daughter of the late James J. “Doc” Forrest and Emmie McGee Forrest. She was a devoted wife and mother. She was a member of Ridge Spring Baptist Church where she taught Pre-School Sunday School for a number of years.

Surviving are her son, Andrew G. Rutland Jr. of Ridge Spring; sister, Louise F. Thrailkill; Willie Ruth Forrest; and Ann F. Hall; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew G. Rutland, Sr. and a brother, James L. Forrest.

The family would like to thank Palmetto Health Hospice and all the caregivers for their love and support during her illness.
